On Merlin Olsen :
On Merlin Olsen : The death of NFL star and former Owusu Merlin Olsen and being on a large scale, which is the way it should be.
He was famous on several levels.
I did not know him well, and the other a few brief conversations. He and I passed out awards in sports in high school awards ceremony a few times, and Hot Rod Hundley introduced me to him once or twice. He seems nice but reserved.
Talk with assistant coach Phil Johnson, Utah today, and I learned a little bit more about it. Johnson, not only to attend college with Olsen, and have a summer home on Bear Lake. Johnson said he did not really know so well Olsen became the neighboring countries.
“Just a good man,” said Johnson, when asked about the Olsen personality. “He was not particularly quiet, but it was not windy. You would not know it had been accomplished something when I see him.”
Johnson said Olsen was a conscious community, and working with the Bear Lake Watch, an advocacy group dedicated to the preservation of clean water. “He was very progressive in this movement,” said Johnson. “A good man and a good person, and that was involved, however you know that it would not achieve anything.”
